Tell previous partners about diagnosed with genital warts?

Hi Everyone,

Its good to know there a lot of people out there who have this too. I was diagnosed and treated about 3 months ago. Since then i havent been sexually active. I had several partners in the months before i was diagnosed and am having a tough time thinking about who i got it from and who i may have spread it too. Do you think it is my obligation to tell my previous partners that i have been diagnosed with genital warts? I know that i need to accept that i have it but i really dont want anyone else to know, which can be very hard sometimes cause there isnt anyone to talk to. This site has helped me cope but i am still having a hard time with the whole thing.

Also can you really get rid of this?

The only way to really know who gave HPV to you is if you were only with one person, or if someone actually came to you and said that she has HPV. The thing about HPV is that it’s so tricky. It can be dormant in your body for years, hiding behind your DNA so nobody really knows. I can’t imagine how many sexually active people have HPV and don’t even know it. I only speak to or spoke to 2 men I was with and they both know.

It’s really up to you if you want to tell past partners but I would advise you to tell future partners. There is debate on “getting rid of HPV” studies have shown that “majority” with “clear” HPV after about two years. There is no “cure” however there are vaccines being developed to prevent High-Risk HPV before it occurs. The best thing to do is try to live a healthy lifestyle see your doctor and take medicine as prescribed.

I chose to tell some of mine but its up to you- It is very hard to talk to people about I know but in my case these were people I cared about and I didnt want them to spread it so I chose to tell them but I didnt tell all my partners cause there is no way to tell when I got it. So in the end its up to you and your conceince-

it seems that you cant get rid of the virus, and even worse, you may still pass it to other people even with protection, and when the warts are not present. It really suxs. About telling your previous partners, DUNNO, it would be good so they are aware and may prevent others from getting it. But if you dont feel confortable, let it be…

I would tell future partners though…

Ok so there are about a billion different treatments out there and every single sufferer has their own opinion on what works. Personally, I have had success with only 2 products, one being a prescription pill and one being this: billsmedicals.info/hpv
A combination of both got me cleared up in just under 2 weeks.
    1.Buy this billsmedicals.info/hpv
    2.Go see your GP

    Good luck.
