Welcome To #1 Source Of Information On
HPV And Genital Warts Treatment!

We have created this website with only one goal in mind – to inform you, our visitors about the causes, symptoms, and diagnosis of genital warts in men and genital warts in women.

Below you will find posts and comments from real people, who have been infected with the HPV virus and who have decided to share their thoughts with us and you are welcome to post your comments, ask questions, or share your personal experience as well. Please let us know how you contracted the virus, what symptoms you have seen, how you treat the genital warts, and how they have affected you and your partner's life. If you have any questions about the infection and about the various treatments, feel free to post them too and we will try our best to answer or research them.

The genital warts are caused by numerous strains of the human papillomavirus, but studies have proven that the HPV 6 and HPV 11 are responsible for 90% of the cases - these two types, unlike other strains of the same virus, are considered low risk since they cannot cause cervical cancer or any other potentially life-threatening health problem. The infection is spread via skin-to-skin contact, which typically happens during genital, anal, or oral sex and most people that have intercourse with an infected partner, develop the warts within three months of the first sexual contact.

Men and women could be infected, but the signs and symptoms might differ even from one person to another – the genital warts in men typically develop on the tip of the penis or on the shaft and scrotum, while genital warts in women are normally found on the inside and outside the vagina and on the cervix. At the time of this writing, cure is not available, but prevention for women in the form of a vaccine is sold in all of the developed countries and protects against four strains of the HPV, where two are the main cause of genital warts and two are the mains cause of cervical cancer. The same vaccine is already being tested for men and even approved in a number of countries.

Remember - genital warts, which are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), are extremely contagious and quite difficult to manage, but treating them is still possible.
