Oral and genital warts
First of all, oral and genital warts are not two different strains. The same strains you can get on your genitals, you can get in your mouth or throat from engaging in oral sex.
Secondly, the mouth is mucosal tissue, just like your genitals are. Brushing your teeth causes microscopic cuts that allow entrance for the HPV. However, saliva is very toxic to HPV and most other viruses as well. This is because saliva is really digestive juices. Also, the mouth has at least 300 germs in it, second only to the amount of germs found in the gastro tract. That is why a human bite can be deadly.
Lastly, while it is rare to contract oral HPV, it is possible.
When one wants to know about oral HPV, you need to ask a dentist, not a doctor. Dentists are very well versed in all diseases of the mouth, since they are at high risk of contracting something from a patient.
Dentists work in tight quarters in a persons mouth and it’s very near and dear to their hearts to protect themselves while trying to earn a living.
Dentists pay the highest disability rates of all medical professionals because their profession is the most dangerous to their health. A human bite can land a person in the hospital for a week or more in quarantine while getting IV antibiotics to ward off a staph infection.
Can you pass along warts thru oral sex if they are not visible?
Does anyone know? my doc said that she did not see any , unless they were microscopic, and that my body could have just finally kicked the virus, but i want to know if i can still pass them along… anyone know?
No, I dont have oral warts. Just wanted to say that if you have sex you may pass the warts to your partner, even when the warts are gone. Sorry for the confusion.
Sometimes the warts are very small and you wont even notice them. If my GF wouldnt have told me I would never have seen miine. It was really tinny and plain, somehow white. Maybe your ex has one like mine and neither you nor him noticed it.
Good luck
I have pretty much gotten rid my outbreak and I asked my doctor if I could still have oral sex and he said yes and when I asked him what are the risks he said “minimal” so I think yes, it is still possible to pass them, visible or not, the virus is still in ur skin, but I think it is just a rare thing.
This is very similiar to my previous question, and it seems that most everyone agrees that it is feasible to contract warts in the mouth through oral but no one has actually heard of it. I think as long as you have a functioning immune system, you should probably be fairly safe.
no, was making reference to the fact that even if you dont see the warts..the virus is still there, unless you are clear as people are saying out there. My GF believed she was clear, didnt have any wart for one year. Asshole doctor said she was ok….and now I have them.
