colposcopy results came back normal
I am very confused. I went to the doctor today to get my colposcopy results and they came back normal. Well, that wasn’t the problem. The doctor told me that your body can kill the hpv viris itself. He told me that I would no longer have hpv. Is that true? He told me that I could go get another pap smear in 4 to 6 months and if the paps were coming back normal, than I probably didn’t have it anymore. I thought hpv was incurable. Someone please help.
I’ve had the normal pap, and then had abnormal ones again. As far as anyone knows, the virus stays in the body. The symptoms will come and go, depending on whether the immune system suppresses it. I don’t think anyone knows for sure if the body ever does really get rid of the virus, but I think most lean to the fact it doesn’t.
